Dolphins

At the bow of the boat there's a dolphin jumping

Leaping in the air, swimming without a care

They are happy in the water, swishing with their tails

Playing acrobatic games while whistling out their names

Dolphins make some clicks to give themselves a fix

On where they are going, so they can find some fish

They often swim together like ten peas in a pod

And when there is a danger they slap their tails and nod

At the bow of the boat there's a dolphin jumping

Leaping in the air, swimming without a care

They are happy in the water, swishing with their tails

Playing acrobatic games while whistling out their names

Dolphins have a blowhole like porpoises and whales

These mammals need air just like us, they don't have fishy scales

Dolphins have their heroes (Rissos) like Pelorus Jack

Guiding ships to safety, remembering the past

There's the little Hector, rarest of them all

The Bottlenose has Flipper, Laughing  out his call

But they must be careful of the lurking nets

They often try to help us and don't see us as a threat

We should try to help them and keep the oceans clean

Citations for Cetaceans is what the world needs

Crab

Walk like a crab, crawl like a crab, bury your body in the sand

Walk like a crab, crawl like a crab, In the ocean or on the land

Drumming with their legs on hard shell carapace

All 5000 kinds escaping just in time

Burrowing a cave for a place to stay

Always walk sideways when scurrying away

Walk like a crab, crawl like a crab, bury your body in the sand

Walk like a crab, crawl like a crab, In the ocean or on the land

Waving with their pincers to see who is the flincher

Standing up to fight, it's all for show tonight

Paddle 'til they're blue, kings and spiders too

Hermits find a shell, horseshoes have a tale to tell

Walk like a crab, crawl like a crab, bury your body in the sand

Walk like a crab, crawl like a crab, In the ocean or on the land

Snapping with their claws, doing deep knee crevice crawls

Going out tonight for dinner or a bite

Walk like a crab, crawl like a crab, bury your body in the sand

Walk like a crab, crawl like a crab, In the ocean or on the land

Paddle 'til they're blue, kings and spiders too

Hermits find a shell, horseshoes have a tale to tell

Walk like a crab, crawl like a crab, bury your body in the sand

Walk like a crab, crawl like a crab, In the ocean or on the land....

Sea Turtles

Sea turtles, green turtles, they return to their beaches fertile

After swimming around in circles, lay eggs in the sand

They move with great mystery, eating sea grass and sargassam weed

Guided by earth's magnetic field they come back each year

The mother turtle comes up on the shore, digs a hole for her eggs

Covered with sand they will incubate, sixty days will tell their fate

Sea turtles, green turtles, they return to their beaches fertile

After swimming around in circles, lay eggs in the sand

A hundred or more dig out of the nest, they are tired but they can not rest

To the water baby turtles can escape, but seabirds and crabs await

They live over a hundred if they grow up strong

Only one in a thousand makes it for that long

Sea turtles, green turtles, they return to their beaches fertile

After swimming around in circles, lay eggs in the sand

There are seven species, loggerheads and two ridleys

The hawkesbill and the flatback, green and leatherback

Turtles keep the sea grass healthy for the fish

They have also been known to eat some jellyfish

Sea turtles, green turtles, they return to their beaches fertile

After swimming around in circles, lay eggs in the sand

They live over a hundred if they grow up strong

Only one in a thousand makes it for that long

Sea turtles, green turtles...

Shrimp or Prawn

Jumbo in the Gumbo, Jumpin' Jambalaya

Prawn, garlic, and chilli, shish kebobs on fire

We like to eat them whole on a plate or in a bowl

Crumbed or battered or in a cocktail

Wild from the ocean or a farm that raises them

In a tank or feeding on some plankton

Shrimp or prawn one is big and one sounds small

I can't taste the difference

Shrimp have little claws like lobsters only small

Prawns just don't have any

Prawn gills are branched, they shed their eggs and dance

Shrimp brood their eggs and swim backward

Shrimp or prawn one is big and one sounds small

I can't taste the difference

They live on the bottom, feed in estuaries then

Return to the ocean and their rock pools

Wild from the ocean or a farm that raises them

In a tank or feeding on some plankton

Shrimp or prawn one is big and one sounds small

I can't taste the difference

Jumbo in the Gumbo, Jumpin' Jambalaya

Prawn, garlic, and chilli, shish kebobs on fire

We like to eat them whole on a plate or in a bowl

Jellyfish

Wobble, wobble, wobble like a jellyfish, wobble, wobble, and catch the drift

Wobble, wobble, wobble like a jellyfish, floating on the ocean (under your umbrella)

Tentacles hang like ropes, umbrellas are made to float

Wandering the ocean tides, going for a ride

Brown and blue and pink and white, moon jelly is shining bright

Some of them have green protein, fluorescent, glowing, gleams

Wobble, wobble, wobble like a jellyfish, wobble, wobble, and catch the drift

Wobble, wobble, wobble like a jellyfish, under your umbrella

There are 200 kinds of them, been around 400 million

Years have not done much to change their bodies or their range

By the shore where there's runoff they may come to feed

So the best thing that we can do is keep the water clean

The feed on prey the same as fish, medusas, jellies, cnidarias

They are known by all these names and wobble just the same

Wobble, wobble, wobble like a jellyfish, wobble, wobble, and catch the drift

Wobble, wobble, wobble like a jellyfish, floating on the ocean

Some are big and some are small, wash up on beaches near and far

Just so you don't find one of them in your bikini bottom

By the shore where there's runoff they may come to feed

So the best thing that we can do is keep the water clean

Wobble, wobble, wobble like a jellyfish, wobble, wobble, and catch the drift

Wobble, wobble, wobble like a jellyfish, under your umbrella

By the shore where there's runoff they may come to feed

So the best thing that we can do is keep the water clean

Sea horses

Sea horses ride in a herd in shallow water all over the world

Sea horses swim with the tide so they don't get very tired

They like the number 35, that many species try to survive

Their little back fin propels them along 35 times and a second's gone

With a fin on the back of the head to steer you might think they have nothing else to fear

But they can't swim very well at all even at 35 centimeters tall

Sea horses ride in a herd in shallow water all over the world

Sea horses swim with the tide so they don't get very tired

They use their tails to anchor themselves to sea grass & coral & weeds as well

Food passes through them so quickly they must eat almost constantly

A sea horse will take only one mate during all of its life

We should salute the sea horses grace by learning not to pollute

Sea horses ride in a herd in shallow water all over the world

Sea horses swim with the tide so they don't get very tired

The male sea horse bears the unborn young & holds them in a pouch in front

Sea horses are unique like this, different from the other fish

Sea horses ride in a herd in shallow water all over the world

Sea horses swim with the tide so they don't get very tired

A sea horse will take only one mate during all of its life

We should salute the sea horses grace by learning not to pollute

Seals

Flap your flippers as you slippery slide along the floor

It sure is cold in mating season so a lot of seals are kissin'

There may be ice around on the rocky ground

What a place to live and to give birth in

Then back to the sea to hunt for something fishy

Return again next year if they can make it here

Flap your flippers as you slippery slide along the floor

It sure is cold in mating season but a lot of seals are kissin'

They swim alone or in a group called a colony

You can see fur seals sometimes on rocks when it's sunny

Many kinds are in the north plus eight southern species

Though man has made their lives precarious indeed

Flap your flippers as you slippery slide along the floor

It sure is cold in mating season but a lot of seals are kissin'

The smallest is the Ringed, they watch out for polar bears

The biggest is the Elephant, the Harp tries to escape the hunt

The Weddell is a gentle giant and Orcas are said to like it

The Leopard is black-spotted, the fiercest predator of Antarctic

Waters, waters, seals are in the waters,

We don't often see them even though we're sharing

Waters, waters, with pups and sons and daughter

Think environmentally, love bio-diversity

Flap your flippers as you slippery slide along the floor

It sure is cold in mating season but a lot of seals are kissin'

Sliding like a seal, diving for a meal

Holding their breath longer, some can go two hours

Flippers flap in water, on land more like a flopper

Return again next year if they can make it here

Flap your flippers as you slippery slide along the floor

It sure is cold in mating season but a lot of seals are kissin'

Waters, waters, seals are in the waters

We don't often see them even though we're sharing

Waters, waters, with pups and sons and daughters

Think environmentally, love bio-diversity, Waters, waters....

Squid

Squishy, squishy Squid, no one's bigger an invertebrate

Squishy, giant Squid, so big no one knows if they just ate

Eight arms to wrap around a mighty big fish, to take it down

There are myths of them taking ships, makes you start to think, makes you start to blink

Squishy, squishy Squid, no one's bigger an invertebrate

Squishy, giant Squid, so big no one knows if they just ate

Big eyes are seeing all, as big as a beach ball

They can see in the dark, night & day, the deep water way

They're not only big they're colossal, most of the fish are just morsels

Squishy, squishy Squid, no one's bigger an invertebrate

Squishy, giant Squid, so big no one knows if they just ate

They stay all by their lonesome and swim by water propulsion

Quite a bod this cephalopod, makes you start to think, makes you start to blink

Squishy, squishy Squid, no one's bigger an invertebrate

Squishy, giant Squid, so big no one knows if they just ate

It is the tallest mollusk, 10 to 20 metres across it

Ranging all around the ocean from the coldest depths to the surface temps

They're not only big they're colossal, most of the fish are just morsels

Squishy, squishy Squid, no one's bigger an invertebrate

Squishy, giant Squid, so big no one knows if they just ate

Squishy, squishy Squid (Squishy, squishy, Squishy, squishy, Squishy, squishy)

Squishy, giant Squid (Squishy, squishy, Squishy, squishy, Squishy, squishy)...

Stingrays

Stingrays electrifying, stingrays you'd think they're flying

Like a bird underwater, stingrays

Eyes on top look around hardly making any sound

Move their bodies like a wave in the water of the bay

Flap their side wings like a bird, their body's flat and bendable

Moving sand so they can expose their prey

Stingrays electrifying, stingrays you'd think they're flying

Like a bird underwater, stingrays

Many have jaw teeth to crush, mollusks are their favorite munch

Not like a fish more like a shark you can almost see them spark

Electric sensors in their mouths locate prey that's roundabout

In the temperate shallow waters they stay

Stingrays can grow so very large & they have a tail with sharp, pointed barbs

That only is used when they sense a threat then they have a defense

Stingrays electrifying, stingrays you'd think they're flying

Like a bird underwater, stingrays

Gray on top to blend in to the ocean floors dark, murky hue

Some of them are venomous and big as any one of us

They like to sit on sandy bottoms 'specially when there are a lot of 'em

One is called an eagle ray and swims most of the day

Stingrays electrifying, stingrays you'd think they're flying

Like a bird underwater, stingrays

Stingrays can grow so very large & they have a tail with sharp, pointed barbs

That only is used when they sense a threat then they have a defense

Stingrays electrifying, stingrays you'd think they're flying

Like a bird underwater, stingrays ....

Frogs

Leaping like a frog, over rocks and logs

Frogs stay out of sight by jumping in the fog

Hopping up and down, leaping all around

Frogs make a point of staying out of town

They are slimy creatures with camouflaging features

Blending in to catch their prey

Slipping, sliding, dipping, there's no time for stopping

Tongues flick out to catch a little fly

Leaping like a frog, croaking in a bog

When frogs are out of sight they swim without their togs

Hopping up and down, leaping all around

Frogs make a point of staying out of town

Sitting on a lily, looking kind of silly

Frogs stay fit by swimming in a pond

Climbing up an old log, singing their own bold songs

Frogs find each other by croaking out their sounds

They start out as tadpoles after eggs have hatched

Swimming with their little tails, they are hard to catch

Hopping on a big rock, doing belly flip flops

Frogs make waves by diving in the pond

Climbing up the odd tree so that they can foresee

Frogs look out to guard their families

Leaping like a frog, over rocks and logs

Frogs stay out of sight by jumping in the fog

Hopping up and down, leaping all around

Frogs make a point of staying out of town

Whales & Hippos

(Let's) Talk about tons of blubber, two animals come to mind

They stay undercover, whales and hippos blowing bubbles

They like to stay underwater, then come up for air

And just like a whale they don't have much hair

The whale and the hippopotamus, an unlikely pair (that's two)

You wouldn't expect to find them sitting in a chair

Talk about tons of blubber, two animals come to mind

They stay undercover, whales and hippos blowing bubbles

A hippo is a mammal, a whale's a mammal too

They split from each other 60 million years ago (that's a long time)

Hippos like the water, but they can run fast too

Whales stay in the water, they don't have any toes

Mammals, mammals, on the land and sea

Whales and Hippopotami, no good at climbing trees

You won't see them very often and that's a good thing too

They are very wild unless you visit a zoo

The bigger they are the harder it is for them to find some space

They are trying to survive with the human race

Talk about tons of blubber, two animals come to mind

They stay undercover, whales and hippos blowing bubbles

The whale and the hippopotamus, an unlikely pair

You wouldn't expect to find them sitting in a chair

Mammals, mammals, on the land and sea

Fish

Fish go through the water, swim-a-lim-a-lim

Fish swim in the water, duck and dive and shim

Shimmy, shimmy, shim, go their fins in the water

Slippery, slimy fish splashing as they swim

They don't want to know fishermen with nets

They just splash to say hello before they go below

Deep, Deep, Deep in the water

So no one can say look at that I caught 'er

Water, water, fish in the water

They just like to have  splash before they make a dash

They don't want to know fishermen with nets

They just splash to say hello before they go below

But it's cold down there, It's cold down there

But it's cold down there, It's cold down there

Fish like their water cold and crisp and clean

They don't like some factory ruining their scene

So they swim and they swim, duck and dive and shim

Slippery, slimy, fish swim-a-lim-a-lim

They don't want to know fishermen with nets

They just splash to say hello before they go below

But it's cold down there, It's cold down there

But it's cold down there, It's cold down there...

Alligators and Crocodiles

Alligators and crocodiles, crocodiles, crocodiles

Alligators and crocodiles, snap, snap, snap

When you're in the tropics the sun is very hot

But don't go in the water or you'll be in a spot

They are out somewhere, somewhere, somewhere

Waiting in the water for another meal

Alligators and crocodiles, crocodiles, crocodiles

Alligators and crocodiles, snap, snap, snap

They like to be in the sun, in the sun, in the sun

Cold and scaly reptiles warming their cold blood

Using their big legs and feet crawling in the mud

Suddenly their enormous tails come down with a thud

In the swamps and rivers lie refugees from dinosaur times

They survived while others tried catching fish by opening wide

Then snap, snap, snap, snap, snap, snap

When you're in the tropics it's hard to keep your cool

But if you want some water use a swimming pool

They are in the rivers, ponds and billabongs

And when you think about it they've been there for so long

Alligators and crocodiles, crocodiles, crocodiles

Alligators and crocodiles, snap, snap, snap

In the swamps and rivers lie refugees from dinosaur times

They survived while others tried catching fish by opening wide

Then snap, snap, snap, snap, snap, snap

Alligators and crocodiles, crocodiles, crocodiles

Tuatara

You can find a dinosaur in your own back yard

When you live on an island it won't be very hard

Tuatara, it's an ancient reptile, Tuatara, not a lizard seen for miles

Tuatara, after eons of survival, Tuatara, it's a dinosaur revival

When they started roaming earth 200 million years ago

There were many Sphenodontia going to and fro

They outlived their relatives by 60 million years

And anyway you look at it that's a lot of zeros

Tuatara, it's an ancient reptile, Tuatara, not a lizard seen for miles

Tuatara, after eons of survival, Tuatara, it's a dinosaur revival

Can you imagine why it is they lasted for so long

There were lots of sea bird eggs to eat for a song

What would it be like for them to celebrate a birthday

Cake would not be on the menu at the weta party

Tuatara, three sets in its head, Tuatara, those teeth fill bugs with dread

Tuatara, after eons of survival, Tuatara, it's a dinosaur revival

You can find a dinosaur in your own back yard

When you live on an island it won't be very hard

Tuatara, it's an ancient reptile, Tuatara, not a lizard seen for miles

Tuatara, after eons of survival, Tuatara, it's a dinosaur revival

Seabirds

Did you ever wish you could fly like a seabird in the sky?

Did you ever want to glide so gracefully?

When you look up to the sky do you see them flying by?

On the wings and the wind like a dream

Higher and higher they fly into the deep blue of the sky

Some go as far as the pole, for some the next watering hole

Did you ever wake up to the squawking of a gull

Or the song of a blue kingfisher?

Did you ever dream at night of a Kiwi taking flight

Or a gannet diving into the brine?

Birds soar so high, birds kiss the sky

Before the sun's up their singing starts

Birds are flying 'round making funny sounds

Singing chirpy songs as their wings flap along

Scratching for some food in their playful mood

Birds of a feather stick together

Before the sun's up their singing starts

Birds make gravity seem like a lark

Higher and higher they fly in patterns across the blue sky

Some go as far as the pole, for some it's a tree down the road

Did you ever wish you could fly like a seabird in the sky?

On the wings and the wind like a dream...

NZ Native Frogs

New Zealand native frogs leap over rocks and logs

Frogs stay out of sight by jumping in the fog

Hopping up and down, leaping all around

Frogs make a point of staying out of town

They are slimy creatures with camouflaging features

Blending in to catch their prey

Slipping, sliding, running, there's no time for stopping

Mouths open wide to catch a little fly

Leaping like a frog, croaking in a bog

Frogs are never seen swimming without their togs

Hopping up and down, leaping all around

Frogs make a point of staying out of town

Underneath a fern leaf, hiding in the relief

Frogs stay fit by running 'round a pond

Climbing up an old log, singing their own folk songs

Frogs find each other by squeaking out their sounds

They start out as tadpoles after eggs have hatched

Swimming with their little tails, they are hard to catch

Hopping on a big rock, doing belly flip flops

Frogs make footprints at edges of the pond

Climbing up the odd tree so that they can foresee

Frogs look out to guard their families

NZ native frogs leap over rocks and logs

Frogs stay out of sight by jumping in the fog

Hopping up and down, leaping all around

Frogs make a point of staying out of town

They start out as tadpoles before the eggs have hatched

Swimming with their little tails, they can't wait to hatch

Leaping like a frog, croaking in a bog

Frogs are never seen swimming without their togs

Hopping up and down, leaping all around

Frogs make a point of staying out of town...

Snakes  & Lizards

Snakes & Lizards slither through the grass

Over there and hither to find a catch

They are very quiet as they creep

You will never know until they leap

Snakes are like a living rope coiling up while they soak

Up the rays of sunshine before they unwind

Lizards like to scurry around, undergrowth is where they're found

They keep themselves out of sight looking for some bug delights

Snakes & Lizards slither through the grass

Over there and hither to find a catch

They are very quiet as they creep

You will never know until they leap

A snake is dangling from a tree, hanging out like you and me

Waiting for a little taste and eating it whole, there will be no waste

Lizards like to laze around and blend in with their surrounds

Hiding from the birds of prey even when they play

Snakes & lizards can be found under rocks and on the ground

Near the water where they came, amphibians by any other name

Snakes & Lizards are very old, they survived by not being bold

Waiting for the time to come, snatching it and holding on...

Snakes & Lizards slither through the grass

Over there and hither to find a catch

They are very quiet as they creep

You will never know until they leap

Snakes & lizards can be found under rocks and on the ground

Near the water where they came, amphibians by any other name

Snakes & Lizards slither through the grass

They are very quiet as they creep

You will never know until they leap...

Lobster & Crayfish

A crayfish is a lobster that really takes to rock

For lobsters and for crayfish the bottom is the top

In crevices under a ledge, in caves on ocean floors

Eating crabs and shellfish, urchins, stars and more

They are pretty prickly, solitary souls

Visitors are likely to get poked right in the nose

A crayfish is a lobster that really takes to rock

For lobsters and for crayfish the bottom is the top

A lobster and  crayfish, 20 legs in all

That is ten for each of them including two lobster claws

Little is known, they move far and wide

Against the currents of the ocean tides

Maybe it's just the call of the wild

Big crustacean tribe

A lobster is a crayfish that is spiny and red

But lobsters have a couple claws, crays have two legs instead

Ten legs for a decapod, that is another name

How hard would it be to walk with that many legs?!

A crayfish is a lobster that really takes to rock

For lobsters and for crayfish the bottom is the top

Little is known, they move far and wide

Against the currents of the ocean's tide

Maybe it's just the call of the wild

Big crustacean tribe

Lobsters, crayfish really like the rocks

Lobsters, crayfish stay away from pots...

Shark Fin Soup

Shark fin soup, shark fin soup, why do they make shark fin soup

Shark fin soup, shark fin soup, why do they make shark fin soup

No other creature we have seen fills us with such fear it seems

Is that why they hunt it with hooks & spears and then come the nets with dolphin tears

Batter it up in a vat of fat, bet you never thought it could look like that

Tastes alright for a Friday treat, better for you than a piece of meat

Shark fin soup, shark fin soup, why do they make shark fin soup

Shark fin soup, shark fin soup, why do they make shark fin soup

Some call it a delicacy, something that may suit your fancy

What's that swimming in your soup, see that fin go loop-de-loop

Let's give the sharks a break, not cut them off the ocean's face

Show some eco-friendliness and fear them a little less

Just look at the primitive beauty, it's a marvel not a duty

Sharks were here long before we came and their loss would never be our gain

Shark fin soup, shark fin soup, why do they make shark fin soup

Shark fin soup, shark fin soup, why do they make shark fin soup

Let's give the sharks a break, not cut them off the ocean's face

Show some eco-friendliness and fear them a little less

Shark fin soup, shark fin soup, why do they make shark fin soup

Shark fin soup, shark fin soup, why do they make shark fin soup...

Elephants

The elephants go walking along, The elephants are swaying their trunks

The elephant go walking along, Stomp, Stomp, Stomp

(x2)

Elephants have bigger bits, Elephants got tonnes of it

Are elephants afraid of mice or are they just too nice?

The elephants go walking along, The elephants are swaying their trunks

The elephant go walking along, Stomp, Stomp, Stomp

(x2)

Do elephants dream at night or for peanuts squeal with delight?

Have nightmares, standing on a chair, about circus clowns with mouse ears?

The elephant go walking along, Stomp, Stomp, Stomp

Sheep

When sheep go walking on the hill, on the hill, on the hill

Like puffs of cotton on a drill, on a drill, on a drill

Their white lights up the green hillside and it seems bright

Wool is what they grow so well, grow so well, grow so well

Even while they're standing still, standing still, standing still

Or milling 'round with many other sisters and brothers

You can hear them say ba, ba, why do they say ba, ba, ba

Calling to their friends ba, ba, so they stay close together

Sun comes up, moon goes down, moon goes down, moon goes down

Sheep still make their funny sounds, funny sounds, funny sounds

Earth goes round and round and round, it's a sheep's life

Sun goes down moon has a peak, has a peak, has a peak

Sheep still count for going to sleep, going to sleep, going to sleep,

Bleating out their lullaby 'til the dawn light

You can hear them say ba, ba, why do they say ba, ba, ba

Calling to their friends ba, ba, so they stay close together

Is that a grin we see, that puts us so at ease

As pillows and billows drift by

Sheep hair grows day and night, day and night, day and night

Wool keeps us warm like sunlight, like sunlight, like sunlight

We know sheep are always there in the clothes that we wear

You can hear them say ba, ba, why do they say ba, ba, ba

Calling to their friends ba, ba, so they stay close together

Is that a grin we see, that puts us so at ease

As pillows and billows drift by

You can hear them say ba, ba, why do they say ba, ba, ba

Calling to their friends ba, ba...

Oysters, Mussels and Clams

Oysters, mussels and clams rockin' in the sand

Oysters, mussels and clams feet give them a hand

Doin' the one foot rock then forming a band

So many creatures living in the sea

Some of them are very big, some are so tiny

The worlds is a story of creatures great and small

Some of them are mollusks less than two inches tall

Oysters, mussels and clams rockin' in the sand

Oysters, mussels and clams feet give them a hand

Doin' the one foot rock then forming a band

They know there's strength in numbers, that's why they huddle so

Against the force of natures waves and waterflows

Some of them have green lips, others have a foot

Their shells are made of protein and calcium carbonate

They have gills to live and breathe & catch rides on live submarines

They don't care just where they go if they can get a firm foot hold

Oysters, mussels and clams Doin' the one foot rock

Oysters, mussels and clams have feet that don't need socks

Doin' the one foot rock then forming a band

Rock oysters and mussels hold on rocks, clams are in the sand

In the mud bluff oysters settle in Chile and New Zealand

The clam can be a giant on a coral reef

Living with the algae, growing to four feet

Oysters, mussels and clams rockin' in the sand

Oysters, mussels and clams feet give them a hand

Doin' the one foot rock then forming a band

The worlds is a story of creatures great and small

Some of them are mollusks less than two inches tall

They have gills to live and breathe & catch rides on live submarines

They don't care just where they go if they can get a firm foot hold

Oysters, mussels and clams...

Snakes  & Lizards

Snakes & Lizards slither through the grass

Over there and hither to find a catch

They are very quiet as they creep

You will never know until they leap

Snakes are like a living rope coiling up while they soak

Up the rays of sunshine before they unwind

Lizards like to scurry around, undergrowth is where they're found

They keep themselves out of sight looking for some bug delights

Snakes & Lizards slither through the grass

Over there and hither to find a catch

They are very quiet as they creep

You will never know until they leap

A snake is dangling from a tree, hanging out like you and me

Waiting for a little taste and eating it whole, there will be no waste

Lizards like to laze around and blend in with their surrounds

Hiding from the birds of prey even when they play

Snakes & lizards can be found under rocks and on the ground

Near the water where they came, amphibians by any other name

Snakes & Lizards are very old, they survived by not being bold

Waiting for the time to come, snatching it and holding on...

Snakes & Lizards slither through the grass

Over there and hither to find a catch

They are very quiet as they creep

You will never know until they leap

Snakes & lizards can be found under rocks and on the ground

Near the water where they came, amphibians by any other name

Snakes & Lizards slither through the grass

Over there and hither to find a catch

They are very quiet as they creep

You will never know until they leap...

Rabbit

Why does a rabbit hop, hop, hop, because he can not stop

Why does a rabbit hop, hop, hop, he must like it a lot

It takes so many carrots to give them energy

And eating all those vegetables helps their eyes to see

Why does a rabbit hop, hop, hop, to give his ears a flop

That's why a rabbit hop, hop, hops, he must like it a lot

They hop around the garden to find themselves some food

They've got to find enough of it to feed their hungry brood

That's why a rabbit hop, hop, hops, he can't afford to stop

It's hard to find a way to catch a rabbit any day

But at least one day of the year he appears

Easter time is coming, it's always very near

As close as a rabbits flippy, floppy ears

That's why a rabbit hop hop, hops, to give his ears a flop

They do not need a lot of tools to do the gardening

Hopping, digging with their feet, munching everything

Why does a rabbit hop, hop, hop, he likes to eat a lot

That's why a rabbit hop, hop, hops, so he does not get caught

It's hard to find a way to catch a rabbit any day

But at least one day of the year he appears

That's why a rabbit hop, hop, hops, to give you lollipops, he must like it a lot,

to give his ears a flop, so he does not get caught, he likes to eat a lot

Birds

Did you ever wish you could fly like a bird up in the sky?

Did you ever want to glide so gracefully?

When you look up to the sky do you see them flying by?

On the wings and the wind like a dream

Higher and higher they fly into the deep blue of the sky

Some go as far as the pole, for some the next watering hole

Did you ever wake up to the cooing of a dove

Or the song of a tufted Tui?

Did you ever dream at night of a Kiwi taking flight

Or an owl hooting out at the moon?

Birds soar so high, birds kiss the sky

Before the sun's up their singing starts

Birds are flying 'round making funny sounds

Singing chirpy songs as their wings flap along

Scratching for some food in their playful mood

Birds of a feather stick together

Before the sun's up their singing starts

Birds make gravity seem like a lark

Higher and higher they fly in patterns across the blue sky

Some go as far as the pole, for some it's a tree down the road

Did you ever wish you could fly like a bird up in the sky?

On the wings and the wind like a dream...

Walk like a crab, crawl like a crab, In the ocean or on the land....

Cheetah

Who's the fastest animal, the fastest of them all

The one who always wins the race, the one who sets the pace

It's the cheetah, he'll cheat ya, when he's on the chase you won't even see his face

It's the cheetah, he'll cheat ya, but this wild cat is losing his habitat

They sprint faster than 100 k's per hour

Threatened with extinction, they won't throw in the towel

Other types of wild cats are in danger too

Lions, tigers, pumas, just to name a few

It's the cheetah, he'll cheat ya, when he's on the chase you won't even see his face

So many people in the world today

Not many places for a cheetah to play

He looks like a leopard who has changed his spots

But man is catching up to him so he just runs a lot

Run like a cheetah on two feet or four, run like a cheetah on the forest floor

Think like a cheetah, let out a cheetah roar, run like a cheetah some more

Who's the fastest animal, the fastest of them all

The one who always wins the race, the one who sets the pace

It's the cheetah, he'll cheat ya, when he's on the chase you won't even see his face

It's the cheetah, he'll cheat ya, but this wild cat is losing his habitat

Run like a cheetah on two feet or four, run like a cheetah on the forest floor

Think like a cheetah, let out a cheetah roar, run like a cheetah some more

Wobble, wobble like a jelly fish, keep the water clean...

Monkey

A tale is a story, a play with many acts

The tail of a monkey goes something like that

Monkey swinging on a vine has some time for play

Monkey climbing up a tree working to feed the family

They swing from tree to tree like Tarzan on a water ski

They use their arms like you and me but their tails let them hang hands free

Monkey swinging on a vine has some time for play

Monkey climbing up a tree working to feed the family

They live in forest canopies, chatter and shout much like you and me

We hear their voices singing out, it is time that we saved more trees

Swing like a monkey, hold on to that line

Swing like a monkey, you'll fly so high

Yes you'll soar right up to the sky

A tale is a story, a play with many acts

The tail of a monkey goes something like that

They swing from branch to branch, take a break to have a scratch

They cuddle together, huddle together and hatch a plan

Come and join them to save more trees

Swing like a monkey, hold on to that line (vine)

Swing like a monkey, you'll fly so high

Yes you'll soar right up to the sky...

Cows

Cows like grass, tall green grass, They eat it once and then they eat again  (x2)

Sticking out their tongues, such a funny face

Looking at you sideways, chewing on their cuds

They make a squish tromping with their hooves

Slowly making tracks tromping through the grass

Cows like grass, tall green grass, They eat it once and then they eat again

Tromp, tromp, tromp, chew, chew, chew

Cows in the field, they know what to do

They have all day to make some hay

In the sun or rain it's all the same

Cows like grass, tall green grass, They eat it once and then they eat again

To a cow in the dawn there is milk in the lawn

And it comes everyday when they eat

Tromp, tromp, tromp, chew, chew, chew

Cows in the field, they know what to do

How now brown cow, half past next calf

'til then penguin, sure we'll meet again

As they head to the shed you see milk with your bread

And it comes everyday like the sun

Tromp, tromp, tromp, chew, chew, chew

Cows in the field, they know what to do   (x2)

Sticking out their tongues, such a funny face

Looking at you sideways, chewing on their cuds

How now brown cow, half past next calf

'til then penguin, sure we'll meet again, sure we'll meet again, sure we'll meet again

Words for Endangered Downunder CD Songs

Wombats

Wiggle, wiggle, wombats like to wiggle

When they're in their burrows even though it tickles

Wriggle, wriggle, turning in their tunnels

Digging, digging, even while they're wiggling

Digging with their front claws while pushing with their back paws

They keep getting stronger by making their tunnels longer

Wiggle, wiggle, wombats like to wiggle

When they're in their burrows even though it tickles

Wriggle, wriggle, turning in their tunnels

Digging, digging, even while they're wiggling

Swimming in the river, they don't even shiver

Running like a sprinter, even with a splinter

Wiggle, wiggle, wombats like to wiggle

When they're in their burrows even though it tickles

Wriggle, wriggle, turning in their tunnels

Digging, digging, even while they're wiggling

Munching on a root or some grassy shoots

Hiss and bare their teeth before going underneath

Wombats think on their feet

Wiggle, wiggle, wombats like to wiggle

When they're in their burrows even though it tickles

Wriggle, wriggle, turning in their tunnels

Digging, digging, even while they're wiggling

Wiggle, wiggle, wombats like to wiggle

Wiggle, wiggle, wombats like to wiggle...

Big Bug Juice Jam

It's the Big Bug Juice Jam Tonight, It's the Big Bug Juice Jam

It's the Big Bug Juice Jam Dance, A fourteen leg romance

I need a crack or twig to hang on, a plant or rack I need

Could be a cob in a corner and six legs if you please

I can weave fine orb designs and it won't take much time

I'll have a silk lace tablecloth and dinner will be mine

It's the Big Bug Juice Jam Tonight, It's the Big Bug Juice Jam

It's the Big Bug Juice Jam Dance, A fourteen leg romance

It's a party and you're all invited especially those a little unsighted

Dancing with me softly shining, pirouetting is so exciting

Come in to my web of wonder, in case of rain we're undercover

All day long and under the eave a few tricks up my sleeve

It's the Big Bug Juice Jam Tonight, It's the Big Bug Juice Jam

It's the Big Bug Juice Jam Dance, A fourteen leg romance

A Black Widow or Katipo with a Red Back or a White Striped Glow

Eight legs dance with hydraulic pressure, my silken web is made to measure

Known as a spider or Arachnid, I can dance with wild abandon

Let's give it a spin, then sipping in the din

It's the Big Bug Juice Jam Tonight, It's the Big Bug Juice Jam

It's the Big Bug Juice Jam Dance, A fourteen leg romance

White & shiny, silky & slimy, wrapping treasure, it's my pleasure

Silk designer, you won't find finer, delicate laces in the strangest places

It's the Big Bug Juice Jam Tonight, It's the Big Bug Juice Jam

It's the Big Bug Juice Jam Dance, A fourteen leg romance

Blue Whale

Blue Whales rolling over, rolling over, rolling over

Blue Whales rolling over, all over the world

Race in groups of three even though we're solitary

Move around a lot from the bottom to the top

Blue Whales rolling over, rolling over, rolling over

Blue Whales rolling over, all over the world

Lunging at our food when we're in a hungry mood

Eating fish & krill, the squid is very tasty still

But will it last, fishing boats go past

Please leave us some or our lives will be done

Blue Whales rolling over, rolling over like a wave

Blue Whales rolling over, all over the world

Watch out for the killer whales, big ships and sharks are on our tails

We may live a hundred years but there is alway danger near

Blue Whales rolling over, rolling over, rolling over

Blue Whales rolling over, all over the world

But will it last, fishing boats go past

Please leave us some or our lives will be done

Blue Whales rolling over, rolling over like a wave

Blue Whales rolling over, all over the world

Starfish

They all live in the ocean, glowing brightest red

The tropics is their blanket, the coral is their bed

There are 2000 kinds of them and somewhat notably

They eat clams and oysters outside of their bodies

A starfish is not a fish, curiously, but it is a star of the sea

Most of them have five arms, some of them have ten

Even 20 or 40, how much could they grab then?

With little suction cup feet they hold on very tight

And they can grow their arms back big and hard and bright

A starfish is not a fish, curiously, but it is a star of the sea

When there is too much runoff and overfishing too

The preying starfish come in, this we know is true

The crown of thorns eats everything on a coral reef

It is a multi-------colored coral thief

Sea stars wash up on beaches sometimes, sea stars shine out of the brine

Lots of different starfish, some of them have eyes, Sea stars change color all the time

A starfish is not a fish, curiously, but it is a star of the sea

Their blood is just sea water, their skin hard as a bone

As big as 50 kilos at 35 years old

And what about the corals trying to get through

These times of global warming, they're endangered too

Go Go Goanna

Go, Go, Goanna, Go, Go, Goanna, Go, Go, Goanna, Go on

Lizards wave their tails in the air, with lots of sharp teeth they can bear

Laying eggs on the ground over there after digging a hole

Go, Go, Goanna, Go, Go, Goanna, Go, Go, Goanna, Go on

They practice running in their sleep, that's why they are so sleek

They even run on two feet, chasing after their prey

Go, Go, Goanna, Go, Go, Goanna, Go, Go, Goanna, Go on

Go, Go, Goanna, Go, Go, Goanna, Go, Go, Goanna, Go on

The gecko said to the skink, get bigger, we can do it I think

If we could unhinge our jaws we could grow very tall

Go, Go, Goanna, Go, Go, Goanna, Go, Go, Goanna, Go on

From Otago to Blue Mountain, from the small scale we gain

Adelaide and west blue tongue, skinks are known by lots of names

To the pygmy mulga monitor, save the habitat, stop the trade

Then the lizards all around us don't need to be afraid

Go, Go, Goanna, Go, Go, Goanna, Go, Go, Goanna, Go on

Go, Go, Goanna, Go, Go, Goanna, Go, Go, Goanna, Go on

Climbing with long claws up the tree, it might not seem much but it's home to me

I like to stay camouflaged for survival of my species

Go, Go, Goanna, Go, Go, Goanna, Go, Go, Goanna, Go on

Reptiles sit in the sun warming up their cold blood

So they can move very fast, you might see them running past

Go, Go, Goanna, Go, Go, Goanna, Go, Go, Goanna, Go on (x2)

From Otago to Blue Mountain, from the small scale we gain

Adelaide and west blue tongue, skinks are known by lots of names

Giraffe

It's a long way down, down, down there, It's a long way down, down, down there

Imagine being born six feet tall in the air then  taking a fall

100 pounds hitting the deck, that's 45 kilos you bet

Just try eating with a ten foot neck, then try taking a 15 foot step

What if your tongue was two feet long, to think that you have grown that strong

It's a long way down, down, down there, It's a long way down, down, down there

Think about sleeping standing up, then fall over and try to get up

It's hard to tell what's fore and aft, imagine being a Giraffe

Undulate like an ungulate on the middle two toes of your two feet

Back and forth sway like a wave, you're on a roll and feeling brave

It's a long way bending, down, down there, It's a long way down, down, down there

What if you weighed two whole tonnes at 5.5 metres above

It's a long way down to the ground, you can kick a lion pound for pound

It's a long way down, down, down there, It's a long way bending, down, down there

Craning your neck so you can see buds and leaves at the top of trees

Eating for 20 hours a day, when would you have time to play

Undulate like an ungulate on the middle two toes of your two feet

Back and forth sway like a wave, you're on a roll and feeling brave

It's a long way down, down, down there, It's a long way down, down, down there

Just try eating with a ten foot neck, then try taking a 15 foot step

Bending down to take a drink, you'd think your neck would get a crink

It's a long way down, down, down there, It's a long way bending, down, down there...

Short Tailed Bat

Short tailed bat, short tailed bat, they call me lesser 'cause I look like that, Short tailed bat, short tailed bat, picture my wings beating flap, flap, flap

I am the king of the darkness, one good thing--I'm fairly harmless

Unless you are a smallish insect that I'd like to ingest

Short tailed bat, short tailed bat, they call me lesser 'cause I look like that, Short tailed bat, short tailed bat, picture my wings beating flap, flap, flap

Once upon a time we were all together, but glaciers came through causing terror (BV--volcanoes too)

Our neighborhood was separated like a highway dividing friends and neighbors (BV--& family too)

We flew as far as we could, but we had to run around to catch our food and as we are very small and fleet, a bat's gotta eat, he's gotta eat, A bat's gotta eat fruit, pollen and insect meat

Short tailed bat, short tailed bat, they call me lesser 'cause I look like that, Short tailed bat, short tailed bat, picture my wings beating flap, flap, flap

You know we can help them by making the forests feel welcome

Save the trees and the natives so we don't have to sigh, we don't have to cry

Short tailed bat, short tailed bat, they call me lesser 'cause I look like that, Short tailed bat, short tailed bat, picture my wings beating flap, flap, flap

Kiwis & Friends

What good is it being a bird if you can't fly?

What good is the modern world for a flightless bird?

We can scurry on the ground, just have to hope there's nothing else around

We can't fly, we just have little stubs, and we like eating worms and grubs

What good is it being a bird if you can't fly?

What good is the modern world for a flightless bird?

Kiwis meeting dogs and doormats, and Kakapo preyed on by some stray cats

The Takahe replaced by grazing deer, none of them seems to have any fear

What good is it being a bird if you can't fly?

What good is the modern world for a flightless bird?

We first had trouble with some boats, now our world is full of stoats

Our eggs and chicks will get eaten quick, it's too bad we don't know magic tricks

What good is it being a bird if you can't fly?

What good is the modern world for a flightless bird?

The Kakapo blows up like a big balloon, then turning around he starts to boom

The Takahe stands very still and kiwi sniffs the air with its bill

What good is it being a bird if you can't fly?

What good is the modern world for a flightless bird?

Tasmanian Devil

Tasmanian, Tasmanian, Tasmanian Devil, Tasmanian, Tasmanian, Tasmanian Devil

Running, Snarling, Don't be fooled by my yawning

Prowling, Growling, at night time even howling

Laughing, Babbling, you might think I am baffling

Tasmanian, Tasmanian, Tasmanian Devil, Tasmanian, Tasmanian, Tasmanian Devil

Biting, fighting, in the darkest lighting

Breathing, seething, you wouldn't want a meeting

Hide by day, hunt by night, to me that is appealing

Tasmanian, Tasmanian, Tasmanian Devil, Tasmanian, Tasmanian, Tasmanian Devil

Something caught me unaware, in my face and in my hair

Now I need a helping hand, perhaps you'd like to be a fan

Insatiable, irascible, even so, erasable

Tumbling, rumbling, sometimes even lunging

Looney, Cartoony, but things may be a little gloomy

Tasmanian, Tasmanian, Tasmanian Devil, Tasmanian, Tasmanian, Tasmanian Devil

Something caught me unaware, in my face and in my hair

Now I need a helping hand, perhaps you'd like to be a fan

Tasmanian, Tasmanian, Tasmanian Devil, Tasmanian, Tasmanian, Tasmanian Devil...

Marsupials

They only come out at night, koalas and kangaroos

They only come out at night, two big eyed marsupials

Opening our eyes, we can see right through the night

But we can get confused on a road with car headlights

And we have big ears so we can hear from far way

Huge noses sniff the air so we survive another day

They only come out at night, koalas and kangaroos

They only come out at night, two big eyed marsupials

Jump from tree to tree, high above or on the ground

Scratching tics and fleas, practicing our leaps and bounds

Koala's in the tree, kangaroo peaks through the grass

Koala's very slow, but kanga hops past really fast

They only come out at night, koalas and kangaroos

They only come out at night, two big eyed marsupials

Koalas and kangaroos are blue

They don't have much space left to lose

We both have sharp claws so we can grab a thing or two

Five fingers on our paws, in this way we're quite like you

We can walk on all four feet but this is kind of slow

Baby joeys hitch a ride as we each have a pouch you know

They only come out at night, koalas and kangaroos

They only come out at night, two big eyed marsupials

Koalas and kangaroos are blue

They don't have much space left to lose

They only come out at night, koalas and kangaroos

They only come out at night, two big eyed marsupials...

Rhinoceros

I can't see very well but I can smell, my legs may be short but I run fast and snort

And I have two horns at the end of my head, so when I hear that danger is near

I stomp with my feet and put my head down and charge at whatever's around

I stomp with my feet and put my head down, I charge at the smells and the sounds

I can't see very well but I can tell this is the place where a rhino fell

So when I smell a man around I sense this is danger I've found

I stomp with my feet and put my head down and charge at whatever's around, I stomp with my feet and put my head down, I charge at the smells and the sounds

I can sleep lying down or standing up, I wallow to keep my cool in the muck

Grazing on grass and browsing on plants, but they're disappearing too fast

Rhino's world is shrinking fast, they're too big to hide and to last

Rhino's world, a baby is born, but more die for sake of their horns

I stomp with my feet and put my head down and charge at whatever's around, I stomp with my feet and put my head down, I charge at the smells and the sounds

I charge at whatever's around

I can't see very well but I can smell, my legs may be short but I run fast and snort

And I have two horns at the end of my head, so when I hear that danger is near

I stomp with my feet and put my head down and charge at whatever's around, I stomp with my feet and put my head down, I charge at the smells and the sounds...

I charge at whatever's around and die for sake of my horn...

Endangered Species

Endangered Species, some are tall and some are small

Endangered Species, the bigger they are the harder they fall

To see the lions running 'round on feet that hardly touch the ground

You can almost see the crown, but some of them are falling down

Endangered Species, some are tall and some are small

Endangered Species, the bigger they are the harder they fall

Elephants thunder around and they make a funny sound

But when they lose their place to roam you can almost hear them groan

Endangered Species, some are tall and some are small

Endangered Species, the bigger they are the harder they fall

To see birds flapping with their wings and hear the pretty songs they sing

If the trees are all chopped down they'll be lying on the ground

Blink you see them, blink you don't, blink you see them, blink you don't

Then the striped ones flashing past, a zebra or a tiger dashed

And the leopards seeing spots where they used to go for a trot

Endangered Species, blink you see them, blink you don't

Endangered Species, some may be here or they won't

Casting out our fishing line, there are no bites today on mine

I'll just rub my tummy then and be going hungry again

Endangered Species, some are tall and some are small

Endangered Species, the bigger they are the harder they fall

Endangered Species, blink you see them, blink you don't

Endangered Species, some may be here or they won't

Blink you see them, blink you don't, blink you see them, blink you don't

Blink you see them, blink you don't, blink you see them, blink you don't

Endangered Downunder CD

Dance & Movement

1. Wombats

Repeat this in each chorus:  Wiggle side to side at the hips (for wiggles and wriggles), then turn around.  Digging motion with hands while wiggling. Then Digging--Verse 1; Swimming motion like breaststroke--Verse 2; Facial movements munching, hiss and bare teeth--Verse 3.

2. Big Bug Juice Jam

Free dancing and include some pirouettes (spins).  Children could take turns (one at a time) dancing around a group (wrapping the group as a spider would).

3. Blue Whales

This song is about Rolling Over.

4. Starfish

Kids can make stars with their arms and legs (spread out) while listening to this musical story (perhaps just when they hear the Starfish Sound).  Some children could also be Coral waving back and forth.

5. Go Go Goanna

This is a Running song.  Children can run around like lizards.

6. Giraffe

Arms up, then bending down to try to touch your toes.  Could also take a big step, then bend down and touch toes.  "Undulate..." is swaying back & forth, with head leading (a la figure eight)

7. Short tailed Bat

Children can flap wings with arms extended, then glide like a Bat.

8. Kiwis and Friends

A good one to sing along to in the Choruses.  This time the wing flapping can be of half arms (with hands near underarms) and some scurrying around, looking side-to-side, eating, sniffing the air.

9. Tasmanian Devil

Singing along to "Tasmanian Devil" and following some of the moves the song suggests plus making the Tasmanian Devil sound.

10. Marsupials

Some children can be Koalas moving slowly and some can be Kangaroos jumping around.  Plus open eyes wide, make big ears, scratch etc..

11. Rhino

Stomping with feet especially, plus putting heads down and charging (could be done from one side of the room to the other if you have space enough).

12. Endangered Species

A variety of animals movements can be done here with the word cues.  And the Blinks are very important.

(Note:  This is a simple guide to movements in these songs and many of the movements are clearly indicated in the words of the songs).

Grooving with the Animals CD

Dance & Movement

1. Frogs

Leaping like a frog...a game of "leap frog" would go well here.

If that seems too difficult, then kids can individually (or collectively) sit like a frog, then hop like a frog, then leap like frog.  They could also be asked "can you croak like a frog"?

2. Elephants

Walking around the room with their arms extended down and hands clasped together...they can then sway their "trunks" and do the "stomps" with their  feet.

3. Alligators & Crocodiles

This is a good sing-a-long song.  Then kids can do the crocodile "snaps".  Big crocodiles snaps (using their whole arms).  And baby crocodile "snaps" using just their hands (Perhaps half the kids can be adult crocs and half can be babies).

4. Sheep

Children can walk on all fours and do the "baas" with the song or whenever the mood strikes them.

5. Oysters, Mussels and Clams

This is a hopping song.  So kids can practice their hopping by doing the "one foot rock".

6. Snakes & Lizards

Some children can be snakes rolling and slithering.  Others can be lizards on all fours, occasionally scurrying and leaping.  This is a song for them to be very quiet in (sneaking up on their prey).

7. Rabbit

Bunny hopping/jumping on two feet with hands held together (against the thumbs and index fingers) curved down in front and arms held against their sides/chests.  Seems so natural for most kids!

8. Birds

Flapping their wings, then gliding and looking up in the sky.

9. Tuatara

This is an instructive song.  Kids can still walk quietly on all fours, then occasionally bare their teeth and munch on a weta ("oh there's a weta").

10. Crab

"Walk like a crab" (another one that seems a natural for many kids).  See album art for picture.

11. Cheetah

"Who's the fastest animal?"  Cheetah!  This is one for running around on two feet or four.

12. Jellyfish

"Wobble like a jellyfish" .  Wobble around without moving your feet (slightly turning the body one way then the other, Fast--kind of like doing the Twist without moving the feet).

13. Monkey

Make believe climbing (with hands and feet).  Also mock swinging...up on one side, bend knees down in the middle, then back up on other side; back and forth in time with music (fast or slow--half as fast).

14. Cows

Facial expressions and movements are the thing here, ie. sticking out tongues, smiling, looking at their neighbor, chewing.  Then tromping in the mud and making" squishy" sounds.

Stripes or Spots

Would you rather have stripes or spots, be a zebra or a leopard or an oscelot

Would you like to have stripes or spots, camouflage helps you a lot

For hiding in the grass while the lions are running past

Climbing up a tree, in my dreams I'm free

Would you rather have stripes or spots, be a zebra or a leopard or an oscelot

Would you like to have stripes or spots, camouflage helps you a lot

Waiting for your prey, in your spotted suit you lay

Quietly you creep just before you leap

Would you rather have stripes or spots, be a zebra or a leopard or an oscelot

Would you like to have stripes or spots, camouflage helps you a lot

Blending in, thick or thin, stripes or spots, lines & dots

Camouflage helps your team to sleep safely while you dream, dream

Stripes are really cool when it is a sunny day

Later on the clock they can make you hard to spot

Would you rather have stripes or spots, be a zebra or a leopard or an oscelot

Would you like to have stripes or spots, camouflage helps you a lot

Perhaps you would like both especially if you are a sloth

Or maybe you're a fish, your stripes & spots look really swish

Would you rather have stripes or spots, be a zebra or a leopard or an oscelot

Would you like to have stripes or spots, camouflage helps you a lot

Blending in, thick or thin, stripes or spots, lines & dots

Camouflage helps your team to sleep safely while you dream, dream, dream, dream, dream

Sleeping like a Log  (Kauri Log)

Sleeping like a log lying in a forest bog

Live for thousand years , now the kauri's resting here

Near to where I grow there's a little place I know

In a bushy glen where a little light comes in

We will make a stand living right next door to man

Long I wish to last as I don't grow very fast

Sleeping like a log lying in a forest bog

Live for thousand years , now the kauri's resting here

As the sun comes up my top leaves are soaking up

Later in the day tuis and some parrots play

High above the ground where they are most likely found

A nice place to stay, a rainbow's never far away

Sleeping like a log lying in a forest bog

Live for thousand years , now the kauri's resting here

Sleeping, sleeping for a long time

In dusk's afterglow gentle breezes start to blow

Rustling through the leaves swaying branches sigh and heave

Then a quiet time and that suits me very fine

Resting in the dark of my bushy forest park

Sleeping like a log lying in a forest bog

Live for thousand years , now the kauri's resting here

Sleeping, sleeping for a long time

Sleeping, sleeping through space and time

Cuckoo

When a cuckoo goes off to sleep he makes a sound that can't be beat

Then he quietly nods his head and gets ready for bed

Hands go round in a circle, seems they never stop

Perhaps the cuckoo gets tired before they get to the top

When a cuckoo goes off to sleep he makes a sound that can't be beat

Then he quietly nods his head and gets ready for bed

We clocked up some miles today, some would say they're, oh, Ks

Running and playing since dawn, now it's time for a yawn

Cuckoos, Cuckoos, dancing in your head

Cuckoos in  tutus dream of getting fed

Little feet are dancing like fairies in the air

When tired little tootsies dream without a care

When a cuckoo goes off to sleep he makes a sound that can't be beat

Then he quietly nods his head and gets ready for bed

Cuckoos, Cuckoos, dancing in your head

Cuckoos in tutus dream of getting fed

Bears

Bears hibernate in the winter, they don't play in the snow

Bears hibernate in the winter while the wind blows

A carpet of white is my bed tonight, I can feel the fairies sprinkling stardust

Despite all my might I am tired tonight, with a growl & a yawn I am sleeping

Bears hibernate in the winter, they don't play in the snow

Bears hibernate in the winter while the wind blows

The moon may be bright but it's out of my sight as I close my eyes in a whisper

Bears hibernate in the winter, they don't play in the snow

Bears hibernate in the winter while the wind blows

As darkness falls we wrap up our paws, our fur is cuddly as a blanket

Even in the day we nap along the way, the seasons changing while we're sleeping

Bears hibernate in the winter, bears go to sleep when it's cold

Young & old, shy or bold, the winter's long 'til summer's song

Dreams come & go as we roll to & fro, floating like a lazy river

Bears hibernate in the winter, bears go to sleep when it's cold

Bears hibernate in the winter while the wind blows

Young & old, shy or bold, the winter's long 'til summer's song

Bears hibernate in the winter, they don't play in the snow

Bears hibernate in the winter while the wind blows, while the wind blows...

Quiet as a Mouse

Shhh, let's be quiet as a mouse, Shhh, let's be quiet as a mouse

Shhh, while we're creeping 'round the house, Shhh, let's be quiet as a mouse

Hiding in a corner, I'm not often seen

I'm just keeping quiet, you know what I mean

Sometimes you might hear me scurrying away

In company of whispers, whiskering away

Shhh, let's be quiet as a mouse, Shhh, let's be quiet as a mouse

Shhh, while we're creeping 'round the house, Shhh, let's be quiet as a mouse

Are we mice or mouses, be that as it may

If there is some cheese around we're likely to stay

Small is how we like to be so we are hard to find

It's a real help to us as three of us are blind

(like three blind mice)

Shhh, let's be quiet as a mouse, Shhh, let's be quiet as a mouse

Shhh, while we're creeping 'round the house, Shhh, let's be quiet as a mouse

It's hard to imagine thinking of mice and men

We have much in common, but not a lot to spend

Shhh, let's be quiet as a mouse, Shhh, let's be quiet as a mouse

Shhh, while we're creeping 'round the house, Shhh, let's be quiet as a mouse

Though some of us are little runts, we can still scare elephants

And it's funny, people too, get into a tiz milieu

(like three blind mice)

Shhh, let's be quiet as a mouse, Shhh, let's be quiet as a mouse

Shhh, while we're creeping 'round the house, Shhh, let's be quiet as a mouse...

Puriri Moth

Flying High, it's almost like a dream, A moth's life is not all that it seems

Puriri Moths have just two days to live to lay their eggs and start all over again

Burrowing a hole in a hardwood tree

Here I live five years or more with my caterpillar knees

And it's hard to see in my tunnel home

I just mostly sleep and eat 'til I'm fully grown

Flying High, it's almost like a dream, A moth's life is not all that it seems

Puriri Moths have just two days to live to lay their eggs and start all over again

I don't grow too fast, that's how I'm going to last

Living in a puriri it seems like an eternity

NZ's biggest moth, six inches across

That is when I'll fly, dodging the birds in the sky

Yes I'm big, big, New Zealand's biggest moth

I'm big, big, big........New Zealand's biggest moth

Flying High, it's almost like a dream, A moth's life is not all that it seems

Puriri Moths have just two days to live to lay their eggs and start all over again

Through the metamorphosis in my chrysalis

Hatch, then floating on the wind and hope I'm blending in

To lay my eggs somewhere, quickly, quickly anywhere

About 2000 out to keep the biggest moth about

Flying High, it's almost like a dream, A moth's life is not all that it seems

Puriri Moths have just two days to live to lay their eggs and start all over again

I don't even have a mouth so I can't eat or sing

Scattering my eggs around and hope some of them cling

Yes I'm big, big, New Zealand's biggest moth

I'm big, big, big........New Zealand's biggest moth

Flying High, New Zealand's biggest moth

Yes I'm big, big, New Zealand's biggest moth...

Nature Calling

When the sun gets lazy as it hits a daisy and the moon comes out too soon

Then the summer's hazy gets a little more shady as you listen for autumn's tune

You can hear nature calling when it's dusk and it's dawning

You can hear nature calling when you're playing or you're yawning

When the wind blows raindrops off a tree leaf cover like upside down balloons

And the rain comes over and the four leaf clover has a shower in the gloom

You can hear nature calling when it's dusk and it's dawning

You can hear nature calling when you're playing or you're yawning

When you see a seedling and you have a feeling that the flowers are coming through

Then you hear birds singing as the buds are swinging your dreams must be coming true

You can hear nature calling when it's dusk and it's dawning

You can hear nature calling when you're playing or you're yawning

Seasons, hot or freezin', Seasons, still or breezin'

When the bees are buzzing and the cows are nuzzling and life begins anew

Then the scent of flowers that blow like towers, sunny days and skies of blue

You can hear nature calling when it's dusk and it's dawning

You can hear nature calling when you're playing or you're yawning

Seasons, hot or freezin', Seasons, still or breezin'

You can hear nature calling when it's dusk and it's dawning

You can hear nature calling when you're playing or you're yawning...

Fern (Koru)

Koru curls, fern unfurls, reaching out to live

Fern uncurls as a flag unfurls, so much life to give

Sun & rain came down on me while I kept my cool

And I waved from the hillside as the breezes blew

The tiny Matuhi Bush Wren played, from frond to frond it flew

I remember reaching out before the men came through

Koru curls, fern unfurls, reaching out to live

Fern uncurls as a flag unfurls, so much life to give

There used to be a stream nearby, an icy water flow

And I liked to listen to it in day's afterglow

My roots made their way to it and it tickled my toes

I thought it would last forever but one never knows

Koru curls, fern unfurls, reaching out to live

Fern uncurls as a flag unfurls, so much life to give

If I had some feet to walk I might like to move

Far away to quiet places with their treasure troves

But I'm already buried here while another grows

So I have regenerated, the life cycle goes...

On & on & on & on, on & on & on

Koru curls, fern unfurls, reaching out to live

Fern uncurls as a flag unfurls, so much life to give

Koru, koru, on & on & on...

Words for Soothing Flora & Fauna CD Songs

Come Right In

Open the door and come right in, this is the place to have fun in

Sitting or standing we can stay, there are games that we can play

Clapping our hands or making a stand, tapping our feet along with the beat

Putting our thumbs up, I can't get enough, Turning around, imagine doing it upside down

Open the door and come right in, this is the place to have fun in

Sitting or standing we can stay, there are games that we can play

Making a face, marching in place, Laughing out loud like one of the crowd

Stepping to the side, make it a glide, standing up straight, it's no wonder we're feeling great

Open the door and come right in, this is the place to have fun in

Now you're getting with the jive, give your friends and big high five...

Sitting right down, making a crown, wiggling our toes while we're down low

Standing once more with our feet on the floor, nodding our heads 'til it's time to break some bread

We love this place, a friendly face, come right in and play

Open the door and come right in, this is the place to have fun in

Sitting or standing we can stay, there are games that we can play

Is there a better day than today, I don't think so, hey, hey, hey

Now we're ready, set and steady, This we know, it's the time to go, go, go

Open the door and come right in, Open the door and come right in

Open the door and come right in, this is the place to have fun in

Now you're getting with the jive, give your friends a big high five...

Just Suppose

Just suppose we juxtapose, Juxtapose we just suppose

Next to you I like to pose, nose to nose and toes to toes

Standing in a line is so neat & organized you know

Everybody has their place, face to back or face to face

Just suppose we juxtapose, Juxtapose we just suppose

Next to you I like to pose, nose to nose and toes to toes

Close together we may go walking, marching heel to toe

Check the distance front to back, keep it straight and stay on track

Just suppose we juxtapose, Juxtapose we just suppose

Next to you I like to pose, nose to nose and toes to toes

Then we scatter like the leaves blowing off the autumn trees

Sweep around and come about, side by side we stand & shout

We stand together, no matter the weather

Birds of a feather, friends

You're someone I'd like to know, face to face & toe to toe

Shake my hand and we can go as our friendship starts to grow

Just suppose we juxtapose, Juxtapose we just suppose

Next to you I like to pose, nose to nose and toes to toes

We stand together, no matter the weather

Birds of a feather, friends

Just suppose we juxtapose, friends, Next to you I like to pose, friends...

Every One of Us Counts

Cero, Uno, Dos, Tres, I'm just keeping my place

Tahi, Rua, Toru, I am counting on you (and you)

Un, deux, trois, quatre, cinc, counting fish in  the tank

Zero, one two, three, four, we all fall on the floor

That's fun, now we will get up one by one

The sun is out, let's go out and count

The birds in trees singing with the breeze

Then whisper & shout, every one of us counts

Cero, Uno, Dos, Tres, I'm just keeping my place

Tahi, Rua, Toru, I am counting on you (and you)

Un, deux, trois, quatre, cinc, counting fish in  the tank

Zero, one two, three, four, we all fall on the floor

That's fun, now we will get up one by one

And tap our feet as we listen to the beat

Then clap our hands to the music of the band

Then whisper & shout, every one of us counts

Cero, Uno, Dos, Tres, I'm just keeping my place

Tahi, Rua, Toru, I am counting on you (and you)

Un, deux, trois, quatre, cinc, counting fish in  the tank

Zero, one two, three, four, we all fall on the floor

That's fun, now we will get up one by one

Then stand up straight, hurry, hurry, don't be late

Now turn around and nod your head up & down

Then whisper & shout, every one of us counts

Cero, Uno, Dos, Tres, I'm just keeping my place

Tahi, Rua, Toru, I am counting on you (and you)

Un, deux, trois, quatre, cinc, counting fish in  the tank

Zero, one two, three, four, we all fall on the floor

That's fun, now we will get up one by one

So turn again and now you can count to ten

one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten

Then whisper & shout, every one of us counts

Then whisper & shout, every one of us counts, everyone of us counts...

Countdown

Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one, zero, blastoff

Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one, zero, blastoff

Rocket ships fly into space, counting down to the race

Adding up or counting down, there are numbers all around

One by one we see them pass hit the brakes or on the gas

Deeper the ocean how high the moon, down with subs up with balloons

Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one, zero, blastoff

Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one, zero, blastoff

One, two, three, four, three, two, one, counting down is lots of fun

Ready, set, go, time to run, hear them trip right off your tongue

Count with fingers and with toes, be surprised at what you know

Disappearing one by one, easy with fingers, hard with toes

Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one, zero, blastoff

Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one, zero, blastoff

How far up can you go, it's so much fun to climb you know

But when you're up there so high, remember you must come down sometime

Counting backward, counting backward

Now's the time to take the test, take a breath and have a rest

At the start take off fast, say the numbers in a flash

Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one, zero, blastoff

Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one, zero, blastoff

Counting down, then taking off to barriers you've never been through

Hear the rushing of the sound as you're going through your countdown

Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one, zero, blastoff

Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one, zero, blastoff

How far up can you go, it's so much fun to climb you know

But when you're up there so high, remember you must come down sometime, Counting backward, counting backward....

Do like I Do

Do like I do like I do like I do, you can follow me or I can follow you

Do like I do like I do like I do, you can see me and I can see you

I can see a seagull sitting over there, we can try to catch it running in pairs

Making funny faces from behind a tree, climb up a ladder & slide like me

Do like I do like I do like I do, you can follow me or I can follow you

Do like I do like I do like I do, you can see me and I can see you

You take a shovel and I take a rake, let's just see what we can make

I'll get a bucket and you get a pan, now we can fill 'em up, fill 'em up with sand

Do like I do like I do like I do, you can follow me or I can follow you

Do like I do like I do like I do, you can see me and I can see you

We can share with one another, just like we were sisters and brothers

You have this one, I'll have that or we can trade and share like that

Do like I do like I do like I do, you can follow me or I can follow you

Do like I do like I do like I do, you can see me and I can see you

Talking, listening, so that we aren't missing

Sharing, caring, and showing a little daring

I am singing it, you can too, you can follow me or I can follow you

Then together we can learn something new, you can show me and I can show you

Do like I do like I do like I do, you can follow me or I can follow you

Do like I do like I do like I do, you can see me and I can see you

You can follow me or I can follow you

Do like I do like I do like I do, you can follow me or I can follow you

Do like I do like I do like I do, you can see me and I can see you

Do It Yourself

I wouldn’t tell you to be happy or tell you to be glad

I wouldn’t tell you to be witty or what’s the point of being sad

‘Cause you’ve got to do it, do it, do it yourself or you’ll lose it every time

Do it, do it, do it yourself, you’ve got to make up your own mind

It’s hardly a matter that you can deny

Don’t you think it’s time that you gave it a try

Go on and give it a try

Do it, do it, do it yourself or you’ll lose it every time

Do it, do it, do it yourself and you’ll be on the winning side

Do it, do it, do it yourself or you’ll lose it every time

Do it, do it, do it yourself, you’ve got to make up your own mind

The Question Song

Who, what, when, where, why and how, You can ask a question now

Who, what, when, where, why and how, The quest is for the answer now

Who did it, what's in it, When will we find out?

Who, what, when, where, why and how, You can ask a question now

Who, what, when, where, why and how, The quest is for the answer now

Where is it, why did it, How can we do that?

Who, what, when, where, why and how, You can ask a question now

Who, what, when, where, why and how, The quest is for the answer now

Who said, what is it, When will we get there?

Who, what, when, where, why and how, You can ask a question now

Who, what, when, where, why and how, The quest is for the answer now

Where were we, why should we, How are you today?

Who, what, when, where, why and how, You can ask a question now

Who, what, when, where, why and how, The quest is for the answer now...

Jolly Time

Let's all have a jolly time humming songs 'til the moon shines

mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm

Let's all have a jolly time while we stomp our feet in time

Let's all have a jolly time while we make a squiggly line

Singing happy songs, there is nothing wrong

Listening to the sounds that are all around

I can ask my friends what they'd like to do

It's more fun to share castles in the air

Let's all have a jolly time humming songs 'til the moon shines

mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm

Let's all have a jolly time while we stomp our feet in time

Let's all have a jolly time while we make a squiggly line

Playing games today while the skies are gray

When the sun come out we'll take a run about

Helping to clean up, I can't do enough

And you are very funny hopping like a bunny

Hopping, clopping, sometimes we're sopping

Meeting, greeting, washing before eating

Let's all have a jolly time humming songs 'til the moon shines

mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm

Let's all have a jolly time while we stomp our feet in time

Let's all have a jolly time while we make a squiggly line

Say hello and say goodbye, it's a good thing to try

We all feel very fine, let's do this again sometime

Macaroni

There are lots of tasty treats that we like to eat

Cakes and pies and vegetables, say bon appetit

And there is the orange, the humble apple too

Then there is the pasta, say buon appetito

Macaroni, macaroni maca-maca-macaroni

Macaroni, macaroni  (maca-maca-roni)

Hamburgers and hot dogs with pomme fritte or fries

Some people like fish with their chips a salad might be nicer then there’s

Macaroni, macaroni maca-maca-macaroni

Macaroni, macaroni  (maca-maca-roni)

Durum semolina, durum semolina

Macaroni, macaroni maca-maca-macaroni

Macaroni, macaroni   maca-maca-roni

Now we're getting 'round to it, a pizza would be fine

But there's a little elbow pushing it to the side (the pasta)

Macaroni, macaroni maca-maca-macaroni

Macaroni, macaroni  we love macaroni

Durum semolina, durum semolina

Macaroni, macaroni maca-maca-macaroni

Macaroni, we love macaroni...

Macaroni, macaroni we love  maca-macaroni

Macaroni, maca-maca-macaroni

Macaroni, macaroni maca-maca-macaroni

Macaroni, macaroni   maca-maca-roni

What Games Shall We Play Today

What games shall we play today, what words would we like to say

Here's where we like to stay when we have a game to play

Making & baking, raking & shaking, Walking & prancing, singing & dancing

What games shall we play today, what words would we like to say

Here's where we like to stay when we have a game to play

Hiding & seeking, remember no peeking, Riding & gliding, swinging & sliding

What games shall we play today, what words would we like to say

Here's where we like to stay when we have a game to play

Hustles & bustles, pictures & puzzles, maybe some nuzzles, we all like cuddles

What games shall we play today, what words would we like to say

Here's where we like to stay when we have a game to play

The games that we play to have fun today, we can still play them tomorrow

What games shall we play today, what words would we like to say

Here's where we like to stay when we have a game to play

Building a house on top of a mountain, making funny sounds while we're on the playground

You Don't Have to Be Big

Puff, puff, puff, ding, ding, ding, don't have to be big for anything

Puff, puff, puff, ding, ding, ding, the little engine is a heroine

You don't have to be big to have a lot of heart

You don't have to be big, you can make a start

You don't have to be huge not to be a scrooge

You don't have to be big to do your part

Puff, puff, puff, ding, ding, ding, don't have to be big for anything

Puff, puff, puff, ding, ding, ding, the little engine is the heroine

We all feel fine when sharing yours & mine

We all feel fine when we take the time

To show others we care, it's really only fair

You don't have to be big to show you care

Puff, puff, puff, ding, ding, ding, don't have to be big for anything

Puff, puff, puff, ding, ding, ding, the little engine is the heroine

Your friend needs a hand while playing in the sand

That your friend needs a hand can make you feel grand

You don't have to be great, you can appreciate

You don't have to be big to be a mate

Puff, puff, puff, ding, ding, ding, don't have to be big for anything

Puff, puff, puff, ding, ding, ding, the little engine is the heroine

You don't have to be big to have a lot of heart

You don't have to be big, you can make a start

You don't have to be huge not to be a scrooge

You don't have to be big to do your part

Puff, puff, puff, ding, ding, ding, don't have to be big for anything

Puff, puff, puff, ding, ding, ding, the little engine is the heroine

You don't have to be big to do your part...

Words for Holidays CD Songs

Everyday's a Holiday

Everyday's a holiday when you smile, When you think of holidays it's smiles by miles

Everyday's a holiday when you smile, Celebrate a holiday, smile, smile, smile

Turning up the corners of your mouth then you turn a corner instead of heading south

Open your eyes wider it's a thrill to see someone over there is smiling back at me

Everyday's a holiday when you smile, When you think of holidays it's smiles by miles

Everyday's a holiday when you smile, Celebrate a holiday, smile, smile, smile

Raising your arm higher as you give a wave, coming back or going you can pick your fave

Oh right you are then, it's time to go, you can choose to make it either fast or slow

Hey, hey, let's celebrate, It's OK to be a little late

Ha, ha, and la de da, now's the time to say hurrah!

Everyday's a holiday when you smile, When you think of holidays it's smiles by miles

Everyday's a holiday when you smile, Celebrate a holiday, smile, smile, smile

Seeing friends and family is so much fun, makes you smile and laugh until the day is done

Gathering together in a special place takes a smile out of the air and puts it on your face

Everyday's a holiday when you smile, When you think of holidays it's smiles by miles

Everyday's a holiday when you smile, Celebrate a holiday, smile, smile, smile

Hey, hey, let's celebrate, It's OK to be a little late

Ha, ha, and la de da, now's the time to say hurrah!

Everyday's a holiday when you smile, Celebrate a holiday, smile, smile, smile

Everyday let's celebrate, having fun with our mates

Valentine's Day

On Valentines Day, in our very own way we'd each like to say, I love you, I love you

Show someone a smiley face, that's a friendly thought

Spare a thought, another one, and it might get caught

We all have a special place to give and receive

Everyone can love each other this you can believe

On Valentines Day, in a funny way we'd each like to say, I love you, I love you

Be my valentine, you're a friend of mine, every day we love, we celebrate another

Valentines Day, in our very own way we'd each like to say, I love you, I love you

Love can come in many shapes that start with the heart

Love is what you start to make when you feel the spark

Put some feeling into it, a whisper or a shout

When we put our hearts together love grows great amounts

On Valentines Day, in our very own way we'd each like to say, I love you, I love you

Be my valentine, you're a friend of mine, every day we love, we celebrate another

Valentines Day, in a funny way we'd each like to say, I love you, I love you...

Easter's for Eggs

Easter's for eggs, Easter's for eggs, How does a bunny rabbit hop with Easter's for eggs.

Easter's for eggs, Easter's for eggs, there is a bunny dropping off Easter's for eggs

Have you ever seen him give his ears a flop?

Have you ever seen him, hop, hop, hop, flop, flop, flop

Will he bring some candy, does he have a chick?

Will he bring a nest full, made of grass, mad of sticks

Easter's for eggs, Easter's for eggs, How does a bunny rabbit hop with Easter's for eggs.

Easter's for eggs, Easter's for eggs, there is a bunny dropping off Easter's for eggs

Can he hop on one foot or must he jump on two

Carrying a basket filled with treats, what a feat!

Easter's for eggs, Easter's for eggs, How does a bunny rabbit hop with Easter's for eggs.

Easter's for eggs, Easter's for eggs, there is a bunny dropping off Easter's for eggs

Does he ever stop to rest, is he ever out of breath

Can we ever catch him, try your best, be my guest

Easter's for eggs, Easter's for eggs, How does a bunny rabbit hop with Easter's for eggs.

Easter's for eggs, Easter's for eggs, there is a bunny dropping off Easter's for eggs

(Instrumental Verse)

Easter's for eggs, Easter's for eggs, How does a bunny rabbit hop with Easter's for eggs.

Easter's for eggs, Easter's for eggs, there is a bunny dropping off Easter's for eggs

Have you ever seen him give his ears a flop?

Have you ever seen him, hop, hop, hop, flop, flop, flop

Easter's for eggs, Easter's for eggs, How does a bunny rabbit hop with Easter's for eggs.

Easter's for eggs, Easter's for eggs, there is a bunny dropping off Easter's for eggs...

Mother's Day

Mother's Day comes in May, you can make your mother's day

And it's a good time to say I Love You, I Love You

Can you imagine what it would be like

Just one day without your mother, can you, can you imagine

She is so special, with you day and night

She is warm and cuddly, that's right, and full of passion

Mother's Day comes in May, you can make your mother's day

And it's a good time to say I Love You, I Love You

She is like a flower turning to the light

And you might be tiny but she, yes she can see you

You've made a present, colorful and bright

When she sees it, Delight!, her eyes are flashing

Mother's Day comes in May, you can make your mother's day

And it's a good time to say I Love You, I Love You

Now it's time to celebrate and you can elaborate

Tell your mother it's her day, it's hers, and you've been planning

Just a little something that you figured out

She's that special someone you can't do without

Mother's Day comes in May, you can make your mother's day

And it's a good time to say I Love You, I Love You...

Hey, Hey, Hey, it's father's day, for father's day let's make a date

To have fun & then run around the place

To make up a card with a happy face

Hey, hey, hey, it's father's day

Say, say, say, say, happy father's day

Hey, Hey, Hey, it's father's day, on father's day we'll celebrate

Hey, Hey, Hey, it's father's day, for father's day let's make a date

To tell your dad that you're glad he's around

To let you know that you're on solid ground

On Holiday

We're all going on a summer holiday, we can laugh and we can play

We're all going on a sunny holiday, we can go or we can stay

Seeing something new come right out of the blue

We don't have to try to see the world go by on holiday

We're all going on a summer holiday, we can laugh and we can play

We're all going on a sunny holiday, we can go or we can stay

It's a merry chase getting to this place

Where we can have a ball after all on holiday

We're all going on a summer holiday, we can laugh and we can play

We're all going on a sunny holiday, we can go or we can stay

Where sand gets in my shoe by a cool patch of blue

Splashing in the sun is bucket loads of fun on holiday

We're all going on a summer holiday, we can laugh and we can play

We're all going on a sunny holiday, we can go or we can stay

Wherever we may be there are lots of things to see

Whatever we may do, our dreams are coming true on holiday, on holiday

We're all going on a summer holiday, we can laugh and we can play

We're all going on a sunny holiday, we can go or we can stay

We're all going on a summer holiday, we can laugh and we can play

We're all going on a sunny holiday, we can go or we can stay

On Holiday....

Halloween

Halloween, you know what I mean, Halloween, it's a scary scene

Halloween, you know what I mean, Halloween, it's a scary scene

Ghost & witches fly about, boo & whisper, cackle & shout

They can sweep right through the air, a sheet or broom will get them there

Halloween, you know what I mean, Halloween, it's a scary scene

Halloween, you know what I mean, Halloween, it's a scary scene

Little goblins can alarm like an elf without the charm

Shadows make strange or funny shapes, make you laugh or make you shake

Halloween, you know what I mean, Halloween, it's a scary scene

Halloween, you know what I mean, Halloween, it's a scary scene

Jack-o-lantern, pumpkin head, bats are flying 'til they're fed

From All flock like birds flying in the dark

Halloween, you know what I mean, Halloween, it's a scary scene

Halloween, you know what I mean, Halloween, it's a scary scene

Funny eyes, long noses too, lips & tongues & lots of drool

Spiders glaring from their webs, silhouettes fill you with dread

Halloween, you know what I mean, Halloween, it's a scary scene

Halloween, you know what I mean, Halloween, it's a scary scene

Halloween's a time to meet creatures from the trick or treat

Can you boo & cackle too, like a ghost from witches brew

Boo, ha ha ha ha ha ha, Boo, ha ha ha, Boo, ha ha ha ha ha ha, Boo, ha ha ha

Halloween, you know what I mean, Halloween, it's a scary scene

Halloween, you know what I mean, Halloween, it's a scary scene

Boo, ha ha ha ha ha ha, Boo, ha ha ha, Boo, ha ha ha ha ha ha, Boo, ha ha ha...

Santa Claus Flies (on a Rocket Ship)

Santa Claus flies on a rocket ship, a rocket ship, a rocket ship

Santa Claus flies on a rocket ship and takes a supersonic trip

Did you ever wonder how a reindeer flies over a cow

How a sleigh filled up with toys can get to every girl & boy

Santa Claus flies on a rocket ship, a rocket ship, a rocket ship

Santa Claus flies on a rocket ship and takes a supersonic trip

Like a comet rockets last 'til Dancer Prancer Blitzen blast

Booster rockets have the knack of going around and coming back

Santa Claus flies on a rocket ship, a rocket ship, a rocket ship

Santa Claus flies on a rocket ship and takes a supersonic trip

Santa Claus is coming faster than you think

Santa Claus is coming on a rocket ship

Did you ever stop to think when the skylights start to blink

Guiding rockets in the night, Rudolph is the nose cone light

Santa Claus flies on a rocket ship, a rocket ship, a rocket ship

Santa Claus flies on a rocket ship and takes a supersonic trip

If you wish upon a star it can take you very far

When you dream on Christmas night watch for Santa's flashing light

Santa Claus flies on a rocket ship, a rocket ship, a rocket ship

Santa Claus flies on a rocket ship and takes a supersonic trip

Santa Claus is coming faster than you think

Santa Claus is coming on a rocket ship...

A Rocket Ship...

Holidays

Holidays are special days that happen at times every year

Honoring someone, remembering something, for holidays give thanks and cheers!

Holidays come back and visit every year, holidays come back grinning ear to ear

Holidays come back and maybe bring a tear, but mostly holidays bring cheers

Honoring someone, remembering something, for holidays give thanks and cheers!

Holidays are times for family and friends, holidays are signs and memories of them

Holidays are here periodically, Holidays for you and me

Holidays Stay With Us

After all your holidays really are the best

After playing with your friends you can have a rest

It's that dreamy quality holidays impart

Happiness comes over you and it warms your heart

Playing on a sandy beach, castles at your feet

Having the time of your life, these golden days you meet

Memories of holidays stay with us all our lives

Remembering your holidays really are the best

After playing with your friends you can have a rest

Flowing 'round a river bend or jumping in a lake

Having the time of your life, these golden days you make

Memories of holidays stay with us all our lives

Remember, all our lives, Remember, all our lives

Remember, all your life
